Sorry the reply is so late, I managed to get a mortgage with a 15% deposit as soon as my iva left my credit report. Also my credit score was so much better the day the iva left. I had a number of people tell me it wasn't possible and had to wait at least 3 years from when I completed my iva. I'm so ...

The iva stays on your credit file for six years from the day it started.
However the iva will leave the insolvency register 3 months after the iva is settled.

He seemed to think I'd have access to competitive rates. 4.99% for 85% mortgage.
He said he'll email this fternoons with some rates and options so I'll let you know then.

Luluj, Thanks for the broker deals. I have spoken to him this morning. He seems very positive about my situation. He says there should be minimal issues when the iva drops of my credit file. I mentioned what the other brokers have said about waiting 6 years from iva from completion. He just said it ...

No defaults are on my file now. Only negative is my iva which will have left this time next week. I have a couple of positive accounts on my file.
Just heard mortgage companies can see information about ivas further back than the 6 years!
