I completely feel/felt ashamed at my position, but I think it's important to read these threads as you soon understand these feelings normal and you'll get a lot of support. We are only human and we should give ourselves a break. I am also a very strong and independent person which I think stopped m...

I desperately want to get moving as I feel guilty about everything, every thing I purchase from buying lunch to mending the fence that blew down. I've not stopp...

Thanks for your kind words. I have spent the time since the first post going through the budget with my wife. I think it is realistic but it's sticking to it, without deviation that's key, and I haven't ever done that before. I was sat in front of the computer looking at the field where to put my sc...

Kazza I can almost feel the blood draining from you as you opened yet another letter. It's strange to think there is value in your debt while you are in an IVA. It could be simply about the percentage interest rate each of the companies bought the money they leant you and they are in a win:win. I ha...

I thought this thread was the right place to ask this question. Sorry if it isn't. I'm just about to apply for a Co-Op Cashminder account. It says there is online banking and you can have direct debit and standing order with the account. My question is simple but I cannot find the answer. Can you se...

Rosepetal I must admit I have had dark thoughts as well, depression is a cruel thing, however for now these days are behind me and I feel better that I am confronting my situation. I fear I have no way near hit rock bottom yet though.

Foggy thank you for your post. It went well I think, I had a good chat with Tina where we went through a lot of the I&E and debt amounts and have just received an email of a list of things I need to gather, fill in etc. There are some really difficult choices to be made soon but I know I will be gui...

Recovering the one thing you really see when reading your posts is how supportive people have been, its great to see you are not alone. The worst bit is knowing it's so real - your feelings so real and I could almost feel how you were (are) feeling. This is good therapy for me as it's actually spurr...

Cor blimey I spent the afternoon reading this thread "Hi I clearly need an iva but am petrified taking the step". I don't really think I have the mental resolve to go through what "recovering" has gone through (all credit to him/her). It did however open my eyes to a couple of things that I need to ...
