Morning,
Just a line to let you know, we finished our IVA in February this year and have received our completion certificate, throughout the IVA we had a mortgage with NRAM, on saturday we remortgaged with Nationwide ( who we have banked with throughout)

We maid our last payment last month and last week received a statement from DFD showing that they had received all that was expected and standing direct debit cancelled.
Can we now expect to receive the completion certificate in a reasonable length time. [?]

We went through the PPI filling in claim forms about a year ago however i suspect this wont move the closure process along, for us this is the most disappointing thing as we now want to move on and look to move

After nearly six yrs i have two payments left, i have mailed DFD to find out what the process is for closing the account and clearing my credit file and they inform me that the certificate will take between 6-8 months to issue. My wife and myself have struggled on for nearly 6 yrs, we would like to relocate, renting out our current house and renting elsewhere for the foreseable future, if we were able to borrow sufficient funds from a relative ( 4 x £500 ) would this be accepted to bring our IVA to an end

The following is the only part relating to in lieu of equity

Supervisor may extend beyond the agreed 60months if there are payments in lieu of equity "in which event the Arrangement shall be extended until such payments are received or for a period of 6 months, whichever shall be the sooner".
