It's hard to say no to a kid.
For me children's cultural education and entertainment go first, I'd rather not buy Clarks and instead take them to the theater or to a nice exhibition -like the "Degas and the Ballet" at the Royal Academy of Arts. True poetry- tickets find at

Yes, things have changed. Watching a movie is considered a luxury nowadays (plus pop corn etc). I far prefer going to the theater though. I think a live performance worths more the money you pay than a recorded one. My last "undertaking" was An Evening with David Sedaris a show described by The Guar...
