I am looking into the funding options, however, do not want any kind of student loan etc. Going forward, everything is cash only as I do not want the stress of being in this position again. Sorry for sounding bitter, I have had nothing but trouble over the years, first of all when in a DMP and now t...

Thanks for the above comments. The title is misleading (I didn't give it this title!). If I can simplify the issue: I went to my IP in July to discuss the VS and asked what would be a fair offer likely to be accepted. They confirmed the figure which then continued to be quoted for the next few month...

Thanks. I followed the advice of the advisor, it was he who set the meeting for after I had signed the severance contract despite me stating over two months previously that I needed a definitive answer for before I signed the contract. The severance was time critical, I had done the legwork in advan...

Thanks Michael. I called to find the result of the offer of the full and final and it was at this time I was informed the off was rejected and they wanted the extra £5k. I was leaving employment having signed my severance contract and feel that I had no choice but to accept. I asked the IVA rep to g...

When I received the call with the result, they stressed that they only gave me their professional opinion and that it was likely to be accepted and offered apologies. I am guessing they had things covered with that answer. If I had received the full and final actual figure before signing the volunta...

Thanks for this advice longslog. It is appreciated. My employer checked equifax and the balance is £12k. I have plenty of things to mention in relation to my health, so that avenue is covered! I will need to check the total remaining over my term for IVA, however, I fear that the overtime I haven't ...

Hi, been a long week to say the least. Just to update, I have appealed the decision on VS however, this is doomed to fail owing to the position of my employer. So, looking ahead, I have been assured that if the creditors apply for bankruptcy (not in their interest mind) my job is safe. That is a rel...

thanks for the advice, especially longslog101. It is my intention to appeal against the VS decision however, I have a feeling that they will reject this too. I have laid my personal circumstances down in full, the effect this is having not just on me but the family. I shall submit this first thing i...

Thanks, I previously mentioned to my old company I was happy for the IVA to be extended to the 6 year mark however on speaking to the new company, they stated they knew nothing of it. I will be in breach regardless over the non payment of overtime, my employer will not help so I see the only option ...

Hi, I applied for voluntary severance after missing last years round owing to the iva company not coming back to me with figures in time, just been rejected. I am gutted beyond belief. The payment would have enabled me to pay off my debt in full and have £20k left in order to retrain. I work in the ...

Thanks for your help on this, I appreciate it.
I think this will be the way forward, I will no doubt be back on should I edge closer to making a f+f.

Apologies Foggy, I didn't read your full post before typing. I don't own a property, PJG knew this and had my rent agreement. I did own a house years ago with an wex-partner which was in negative equity and I was struggling paying rent on another property after the split. I eventually signed the hou...

Thanks for this, When I was with PJG, in Oct, they stated it was nearer £14k left to close the IVA. I would anticipate around £34500 after tax would be the amount to leave, which would leave around £20k after completing the IVA in full. I simply need CF to confirm the amount in order to determine th...

Thanks for your advice, Ivan, I may have to look into that option, the reason I am reluctant is that my last three cars have been this, older cars which initially ran ok for a month or two before the issues really started and began costing a fortune. I know very little about cars, but have tried to le...
