Mine's gone beyond two years now with the PPI claims delaying things. I've been wanting to move house for over a year, but until the completion certificate arrives and my credit history is clear I'm unlikely to get a mortgage :(

Please keep us posted on this, as I'm looking to get a mortgage this year to move house. I completed my IVA in November 2012, although I'm still waiting for my completion certificate. I have acquired a credit card just for building up my credit score again to put me in a better position for the futu...

Or forever if you get caught up in this PPI malarkey! I completed in November 2012 and am still waiting for my certificate of completion because of outstanding PPI claims. Until I get the CC, it's still on my credit reports :(

I paid my IVA off in January and still haven't received a completion certificate. Hopefully it won't be much longer, but I started my IVA on 9th November 2006 so was hoping it would be off my credit file now :(

I've just spoken with Joanne and she informed me that they're just waiting on the PPI issue before they can finalise completion.
Creditors have asked them to look into PPI claims to see if there is anything else in it for them. Hopefully, it won't be much longer now...

Not sure, it is raising more questions in my head which I need to ask tomorrow. Thing is, I've seen a car I want at my local dealer but they've said they can't go to other dealers or just lend me the money...

I am desperate for a car as mine is just chugging along nowadays and won't go through the next MOT due soon. Where's the best place to seek advice? There's no-one else who could lend me the money unfortunately.

Thanks orange. CarLoan4U didn't really seem that helpful - just more or less said no without a 15-20% deposit.

Not sure Paul - they said 13% is what the lender is offering me and I did say I was surprised due to the IVA. Apparently, at this stage, I'm still under no obligation, so will get as much info as I can.

That's what I thought Foggy! Had spoken to CarLoans4U and looked at Moneybarn and it didn't look too good with them, and their APR was 42!

I'm just taking my time in replying to their request for my proof of identity etc until I've found a little bit more out about them.

Will keep you posted...

I remember after one of my reviews, I was so stressed because I just couldn't afford the increase with my ever-increasing expenditure (fuel mainly). I contacted my IP who was fantastic and asked me to provide as much information as possible with an updated I&E. Within a week, we had agreed a lower f...

They don't allow you to buy a car from another dealer as they cannot guarantee the quality of them and they have high standards apparently!

I hadn't but found them on the internet last night and looked at some reviews - they sound almost too good to be true, so thought I'd check on here too. They had my credit report in front of them with the IVA still showing as active, but have still approved me with that APR rate. The guy I spoke to ...
