Just that really.

I have two payments left to make - in sixth year.

Is it worth offering to pay them now? I have the money available (£800) and just want everything out of the way.

Thanks Michael. I will give it some more thought. As an aside… I don’t post on here very often but I do dip in quite regularly to read stuff and have always appreciated, and been impressed by, the advice offered by everyone on here – whether it be from those in the industry or those who have experie...

At a push, I think I could borrow about £3k from a family member. I'm open-minded about a small secured loan. Obviously there are two things about being in an IVA. The actual financial bit - it would be brilliant to not be paying out £372 a month, but a reasonable reduction in that amount would also...

hello

the time has come when I've been asked to get the house valued. I am considering asking for a valuation based on a 'forced sale'. Is that okay? And at what point during the discussion should I inform estate agent / surveyor that that is what I looking for?

thanks

Thanks – that’s what I thought (was hoping!).

I’m not trying to wriggle out of anything – just a bit nervous as I think the figures are going to be quite close going by my recent mortgage statement and knowing what a house two doors away from me has just sold for.

Hello I am in month 52 of my IVA. Doing some rough calculations I estimate that in month 54 the amount of equity I have available could possibly come in at just under the £5k de minimis clause. However, by month 60 the available equity would probably be over that amount. House prices in my area (mid...

Hello I am due to complete my IVA in April 2015 – subject to equity etc, but leaving that aside… In March both my children will have a 15-year savings plan mature. We have been putting £12.50 into each account for the duration so each child is due approx. £2,500-£3,000. My son will have just 18 and ...
