Silly question, but I have been told that I have 2 potentially successful claims for PPI. I successfully completed my PPI back in 2008, but wondered would there be any claim to the money by my creditors. I understand the judgement in Green and Wright case (2015) basically indicates there won't be, I...

I'm looking to take out a mortgage post IVA and wondered if anyone had good experiences from any particular brokers?

I have @60% LTV.

Any ideas?

That's the thing. .. I would not be the only one on the mortgage and they wouldn't in theory be renting from me. We would all be paying out fair share. ... so surely they could claim benefits for their thirds of the mortgage?

Thanks Melanie

I'm just awaiting some feedback from Age Concern.

I could afford to pay the mortgage on my own but really want my parents to also contribute. I don't mind helping them but there does come a point where you have to draw a line...

Fingers crossed we find a solution

Hello All I finished my IVA back in 2008 and due to helping parents I have about £19,000 in debts (not an issue as I can pay them off and they are all up to date). The issue here is my parents are in a dire situation and need help. They are about 6 years off the end of their interest only mortgage a...

My sister currently lives with them and quite frankly does little if anything to help (well.... she gives them £200 per month, so something is better than nothing).

Hey hoo... it's all fun!

I really cannot understand this. I was with GT from 2003 to 2008 (when I finished my IVA - set up with the help of a guy called Brian Chicken - I still laugh at that name but the guy was an absolute diamond and really helped me out when things seemed completely dire) and they were a great company, n...

I did offer to possibly look into purchasing a smaller place for them (something more within my price range and more suitable for them) but I just don't think they were interested. I think by late next year the CCs will all be out of the way, so they'll just have the mortgage (at the moment I'm help...

Boy.... after hearing all this I'M soooo glad I completed back in 2008. BUT... saying that.... I did receive a phone call from a company perpurting to be calling on behalf of GT regarding potentially claiming back my PPI. Strange thing is, I have claimed it back myslef back in 2000, WAY before this ...

Thank you so much Mel. Mum is actually managing to pay the CCs off (over the past 6 years she's paid off a whooping £60,000 - mainly by a mixture of robbing peter to pay paul and dragging me out of bed at 4am at the weekend to do bootsales). They owe @£25,000 now, so in reality over the next couple ...

Hello All [:D] I'm a bit premature with this(these) question(s) as it’s probably still a good year or so off, but my parents are in a bit of a bind (or potential bind) housing wise…. My folks (Dad age 57 and Mum age 67 – D is on disability due to a terminal illness which is being managed at the mome...

He has recently purchased a car on HP, but apart from that nothing that he knows of that is still a overhang from the DMP.

Thanks guys. He owes £3000 and is in a position to be able to pay £50 per month, possibly occasionally more if he gets enough overtime. Taking aside the issue of the DM obviously going wrong at some point (not sure about the ins and outs but he is ademant that they stopped payments, not the other wa...
