We haven't had this mortgage long, less than a year. We only have 60000 and the house is worth 150-160000, so what do you think our best options are? I will contact Shaun on Monday, but just after opinions. Thanks.

I should have also asked... Is there any other option or is a secured loan the best one? We've not had the mortgage very long, so I guess we can't add to that?

Oh yes of course, we used equity finance for the mortgage so will get on to them. Thanks! Didn't realise they did secured loans too.

Hello

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a secured loan (for essential house repairs) when iva is still on our credit records? We ended the iva early with a f&f. It's been about 3.5 yrs since the iva began.
We have a mortgage with Magellan and have about 60% equity.
Thanks!

Thanks! Enjoy your poems ;-)

We plan on being here 5-10 years, but who knows really! What did you do in the end regarding your boiler? Are there any other options?

Lesley, thank you for your input. That's what worries me about them. Just called them and they said lots of positive things, but they said it is 14 yrs till you have 'paid' it. How much would it cost to get out of the deal before then?

Thanks for replies. Do you know any names of boiler renting firms? Thanks

We did look into green deal but the 'free' money has ran out and we don't qualify for grants

Hi We ended our iva early with a full and final. We need a new boiler and don't have savings to get one. We would be able to afford to pay an amount each month though. Does anyone know of any schemes that would allow us to do this without a credit check?? We are aware that we don't want to build up ...

What factors are they do you know?

I will contact Shaun... The reason we are wanting an answer this week is that we are hopefully relocating and need to sort lots out.

Such stressful times.

We have an agreement in principle and have sent off all the actual forms and documents. What is the usual timescales before we hear anything? The broker has been very good and is trying to rush it but I'm desperate to know for a number of reasons! Is it likely we will be ok as we have an agreement i...
