Aahh Andy i'm glad you brought up the interest and charges. I had a call yesterday froma company who ofcourse wanted me to go with them for the DMP. They explained that charity companies are funded by the creditor and will not fight too much to get these frozen?? If this is the case, what is the lik...

Had a chat with Mel today to explain a few things. It turns out my debts are not near what I first thought and she was very good to tell me that there are a couple of companies that will do a DMP for free. Just popping on to say a huge thanks to Mel for pointing me the right way. Ofcourse many other...

It's great to see how an IVA can change someones life. I mean I don't even know anyone but just by the posts here you can almost feel the relief.

Well done :)

Well done :) I am excited about starting mine. It's not an experience I really want to endure but it's something that really has to be done. I know at the beginning it's going to feel like it's going to take forever. But i'm already thinking of the positives that will be at the end of it. Again, wel...

Would it be worth me contacting all my creditors/ debt collectors for a full balance on my accounts and account numbers? Reason I ask is I have no letters from any of them to forward to an IP when I've chosen one. I know this info will be required eventually so should I get a head start and get it a...

Thanks for the replies. I would just like to say that I don't want to offend or disappoint anyone if I use someone other than any of you that post here. It's not the type of person that I am. Ofcourse I need to make a decision as soon as possible. I have been in touch with a company called Invocass ...

Hi Tina. Well from the advice I have been given from many was to talk to a few different firms. I have done just that and I did make a decision. After reading a few reviews and speaking to a few other company's, I am a little reluctant to sign any agreement. I am not going to bad mouth anyone or any...

This is just out of curiosity and I would rather ask here before asking the bank. I have an Advantage Gold account with natwest. Now that I will be signing for an IVA, will my bank account be downgraded to a basic / step account? I currently pay £12.95 p/m for this account (because of it's "perks")....

I forgot to ask, is there any particular IP that anyone has had any personal dealings with that you found extemely helpful?

I really would like things explained in "plain english" as I am very easily confused when it comes to paying out (hence the debt)

Thanks again

Thanks for the replies. I was using a company called Immediate Financial. They were helpful but at the same time not helping much if that makes sense. I will be calling a few IP's today to find out what my options are. I'll keep you posted to let you know how things go. And what link are you referri...
