Why not see if you can use it to finish your IVA? Wouldn't that be better than hiding it and worrying about getting caught?

Well I completed my IVA a month ago and got my completion certificate within a week!!!! Madness I know!!! I have also come off the insolvency register!!! I had a look at my credit file today on Experian and I am classed as very poor which I expected. What I am confused about is that there is no ment...

But I have the completion certificate, so does this mean I can come off the insolvency register?

I've just had an email from IVA company saying I have to stay on insolvency register for another 12 months, I knew this about credit files but thought I came off the register straight away!! [V]

I was with debt free helpline or debt support centre I think they are now called. I am quite happy to name them as although I had a few issues (mainly my own fear and worry) I now know that they are a great company!!!

I am so amazed by what I just received in the post!!! So what should I do now, I know it will all stay on my credit file for another year but should I still be on the insolvency register?

What ever the problem is, whatever you need my advice is to speak to your IP, take a payment break or sell something but don't take out credit. If you do what is the point in the IVA? What is it teaching you? I know its hard to get out of that habit, for years and years I relied on credit, its proba...

Sorry yes you are right about the interest, I meant whilst I am on the course and whilst I am still in the IVA. I am not worried about student loan debt after the debt I have dealt with. It doesn't seem the same some how and I will have a new career which will earn me more than I could ever have ear...

Well my IP said yes and i have just been accepted onto my degree course. Four payments left! I feel like a completely different person to the one that applied for the IVA five years ago!!!

Well i have just had the email i have been waiting for, my IP has confirmed that due to there being little equity in my property, the house is now out of the arrangement and my IVA will finish in November 2013. It still doesn't seem real!!!! Five long years but its nearly over!! Keep going everyone!...
