My wife and I entered into an IVA apiece in November 2006 and December 2006. They were accepted and we paid for the full five year bar one glitch when my personal income took a nose dive. Due to this they were extended a further 12 month. We were able to keep payments until outgoings started exceedi...

My wife and I have been in an IVA now for 7 years. Just over a year and a half ago we were told it was ended but we can't have it finalised until all the PPI claims have gone through and all that money has been paid out to our creditors. How many years does it take for a 5 year IVA to be finalised.

I’d always presumed that while paying into an IVA one could lead a normal life and have some pocket money to spend on simple things and occasional treats. But We must ha...

The wife and I were foolish like many others, spending money that the banks threw at us until I had to go into hospital because of gall stones and the PPI didn’t cover the mortgage. We fell behind with most of our repayments until we asked the bank for help. Lloyds TSB, which we’d banked with all ou...

Tried a few agents to value our property but it seems they are getting wise about giving out free valuations, unless I sign up with them to sell and really put the property on the market it's not free. Any advice

Yes Paul, 5 years with Robson Scott and 1 year with Consumer credit counselling services Which wasn't taken into consideration. The extra year, coming up, was added due to the reduced payments and I think they need aprox a fifth of my redundancy money. They are trying to end it sooner due to the fac...

Hi, I'm new to this site, wish I'd looked for one earlier. 6 years ago we found ourselves in financial difficalty and our bank of 15 years refused us any help. We signed up to the CCCS and paid our creditors what we coul aford. After 12 months we had to either go BR or take out an IVA. We've now pai...
