After 5 and a half years, we received our Final report yesterday and can at last say , we made through to the other side. We have learned our financial lessons and are now looking forward to a brighter future. As an extra bonus, we have also been told that we are entitled to keep our PPI claim money...

Our IP made the PPI claim on our behalf, but our PPI claim came through 4 days after we got our final report. Not sure if it was a mistake on the part of the IP, but we've got to keep the full PPI payout. But in our case the company that we we're claiming PPI back from , wasn't one of our creditors ...

We've just had confirmation from the IVA company that as the IVA has finished, we are entitled to the PPI repayment!!! As it was the additional cost of the PPI (which was a very large amount) a month that 'tipped us over the edge' financially, resulting in the IVA. I think we've got justice. Thanks ...

Our last payment was in October 2011 and we've just got the final report today. The delay was due to the HMRC backlog. Hang on in there !

Our Final report came through today, so the long awaited end to the IVA is here, very relieved! Thanks Gareth. The offer has been accepted by the creditors in a meeting at the start of the month. Once the creditors accepted , the payment was made. The wording was definitely 'full and final settlement'

So does 'full and final settlement' mean absolutely nothing in law? The IP was aware that I was due to be made redundant before family offered to pay the settlement. We wouldn't have gone ahead with it, if we knew that they could still take more.

Once a payment has been accepted by the IVA company in 'full and final settlement' (at an agreed dividend of 44p in the £)can more money be taken if a redundancy payment is received during the 'wind-down' period?
