We completed our IVA 6 years ago and I haven't visited this site much in the last two years. I want to say to all of you out there who are still on the journey to stick with it. I know there are times when it's really hard such as family events, car breakdowns and your home gets shabbier and shabbie...

Hi all, we finished our IVA in Dec 2013 and this week received a letter from "Consumer Advisory Service" stating that, "Due to a recent High Court decision that ruled in favour of completed IVA holders ........ it is likely that monies may now be owed to you in respect to the return of charges previ...

I agree, relieved33. Although I have finished my iva I still log on here once or twice a week and was shocked at some of the comments. I was not with Mel's company but her advice on this forum was invaluable and I'm sure a lot of people were very grateful for her advice and empathy. Things beyond ou...

As the others say, talk with your IP, most of us have had the odd blip during our iva journeys. Don't beat yourself up about it, I'm sure that a solution is there. Good luck with your job search.

We have had one since the iva finished, it's very useful for online purchases and fuel. They up their limits regularly but I have refused them, not going through that all over again!

Congratulations on getting to the end. Remember what Foggy said about being still under the terms of the iva until you have that precious certificate in your hands.

So sorry for all your troubles at the moment. Do speak to your IP, I'm sure they can do something to help you. I had a very similar scenario and my IP reduced our payment by 50% for 3 months which we made up at the end with a 3 month extension. Hope things start getting a bit brighter for you.

Congratulations. I too felt that we should have had a gold edged certificate! But nothing can distract from the feeling of having completed and 18 months on, that feeling just keeps growing. Every time we realise that we can repair something in the house or can go out for dinner with the family or f...

I can't answer your question either but I do wish you all the best with your treatment and bump this up so that someone more knowledgeable might see it. Remember that your well-being is the most important thing. Best wishes.
