Just interested to find out what happens to an IVA when an IP leaves a company. Does the IVA go with the IP or remain with the company. Also what would happen if an IVA provider suddenly found them selves with out an IP?

Interesting post with regards to set off. Tad confused. I work with a legal firm completing a similar service for insolvency practitioner as CMCs and in most circumstances set off can be fought thus preventing such an issue. To date we have only had 2.2% of claims set off and these were ignored as t...

Just thought it would be worth mentioning that I have just found a second PPI on a credit card that yet again I knew nothing about. I am in the sector of working with IPs to identify PPI within IVAs and I am continually amazed at how this issue is panning out. For those of you who believe you define...

Well it seems to me a conclusion has been made a" certificate of due completion". The issue of some debtor clients not co operating is irrelavent as most will. Those that dont would need to be considered seperatly.

Mel you miss understand its 80% of IPs running circa 20% of IVAs (Usually a secondary thing for them) that are unaware. The top 10 are all aware and running circa 80% of IVAs, and 9 of them are acting in line with the situation. Which is a tough one as to be frank to service a back log of 10,000`s o...

Hi Andy I do agree with you and the issues raised by PPI. This subject only became a hot topic in April / May 2011 and to be honest I would say 80% of IPs (As in number not as in those running IVAs) are only just becoming aware of it. I have been speaking with IPs for a year now and you would be ama...

To Andy It seems to me the PPI aspect will generate funds for IPs and it should. I meet 3-4 IPs running 50 -150 cases and to be frank they are mostly dropping them as they cant make money. The PPI aspect could and hopefully well generate cash so those smaller IPs can run a better service. I apprecia...

Not sure if im right on this but my perception is creditors seem to be able to make alterations to ivas through tics. Why cant a resolution be put in capturing ppi post iva thus allowing closures.

In my experience it boils down to volume, the company used to process and to what level the files are audited. Another issue can be the particular creditor. Some creditors are keen to clear up the mess others are not.

Not sure creditors will capitulate. As I recall earlier this year the banks were going to write to us all with regards to being miss sold PPI. I have never received a letter and I claimed a PPI last month. In addition I dont know anyone else who has received one of these letters or have I come accro...

Good post agree with almost all of the points. Some extra information that some people may find interesting. Car insurance pays out in the regaion of 80p per £1 received in premiums. PPI is between 10-15p. In addition many of the premiums I have scanned have been higher than what the pay out would b...

Not sure how some companies do it but in my mind should only need the debtor clients consent to investigate. A certain proportion of PPI was added with out knowledge as in my own case.
