Hi Guys, sorry I haven't posted recently but things have gone mad in my life! First of all my F&F was accepted YAY! Interestingly, only GT voted against! Then I got offered a new job with much better prospects and stability. And more recently, my children have decided to move in with me rather then ...

Hi Hubert, Great post and I'm sure we all share some of the feelings you are going through now. You have taken control which you should see as a positive and when you get into the swing of it, I'm sure it will be as beneficial as it has to many of us. I was in a similar position financially before I...

Hi Jan,

I have successfully taken a second phone contract on O2 for my son whilst still in mm IVA.

I seemed to remember someone saying that O2 would allow up to 3 contracts for each individual?

Hope that helps.

Many thanks Foggy and Kelly.

Think it's going to be a slow countdown now till the 17th, but if it goes in my favour, I can start to live again (within a budget of course!).

Just an update, my IVA company contacted me to say that they are holding a variation meeting on 17th September to offer the full and final settlement. They said it seems to be a good offer and hopefully my September payment could be my last.

Fingers crossed x

Thanks Mel. At the moment my property is worth (Zoopla) £80-85k, but I'd expect a forced sale valuation to be around £75k mark. Currently owe approx. £73k combined mortgage and secured loan with 3 years to month 54. Can't really see there being any equity at that point or it will be very close. Is t...

Thanks Lesley, yes this forum has been invaluable and I'm sure what ever happens I'll saty around.

My brother has been great seagulls, but having to come clean to him was one of the most stressful periods of my life. I'm deeply indebted (sic.)

Well just sent the letter to offer the F&F, so fingers crossed! I calculate that I have £5444 left to pay in and by the time the meeting is held £5069, so hope the £5000 is accepted. I have the equity clause but can't see there being the required equity by month 54. I also had a modification to intr...

Hi All, Well after several months of struggling to maintain outgoings and IVA payments, missing May & Junes payments to IVA and a return to medication to relieve anxiety, I finally plucked up the courage to speak to my brother and reveal all. The consequence, my brother as agreed to offer me £5k for...

Oh b*****, I opened a current account prior to my IVA. I did ask the customer service lady in branch for a basic account, but didn't explain I was going into an IVA. Everything went ok and I have had no problems, except one month early on where a direct debit went out before I was paid. Suppose I sh...

Hi UpToMyNeckInIt,

Thanks for the low down. I too had the T&C's but didn't read it, along with all the other bumf I get through the post.

This will be awful. I have had no problems with the Co-Op since opening my account just prior to my IVA starting.

Worrying times...... AGAIN!

Hi Tina, Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately my IVA payment is only £125 a month. With a suit, a couple of shirts and a pair of shoes, plus renewing my passport, I'd need 3/4 months to fund those, without building up enough to cover the first months expenses? I'm happy to see if I can get some...
