Stuboy I got turned down by Santander when i asked to upgrade from a cash card but they turned me down even with a squeaky clean credit file and they weren't a creditor. I was gutted at the time........that was back in Jan. Applied for a Nationwide Flexi direct account last Sunday......just really r...

Hi Rappy,I'm no longer leasing. Got a 12 month old car on Car Finance ok though, through Car Finance 247. Moneybarn (previously Duncton) no longer lease. Both Money Barn and Car Finance 247 will help people with bad credit histories. Car finance 247 are a broker so will shop around to get you a deal...

Thanks for all your comments. Yes Mel you are right re budgeting and I will be careful with the credit card...once bitten twice shy and all that. I left the balance at £6,500 as it is just nice to know if i had any dire emergencies I have immediate financial backup. That is not there in an IVA and c...

Apologies I have not posted on her for a while. All my defaults and IVA dropped off my credit files last Nov/Dec so almost a year of squeaky clean credit files. I've had a vanquis card for 18 months which I clear the balance every month...credit limit of £2,200. Life is good only downside money wise...

I have just applied for a rental today and I am post IVA. I am however squeaky clean on the old Credit reports, no defaults and no IVA showing they disappeared in Nov/Dec. The Reference Agency used by the Estate Agent is called LetRisks. I looked them up and they use Experian data. Experian has my C...

Hi josu. I have had clarification from Noddle about what they hold. They take a monthly feed from Call Credit (not from Experian or Equifax). Noddle is free as it is not up date as it only updates monthly. going direct to Call Credit, Experian and Equifax you do have to pay but they are up to date/l...

Cheers Andy, I have emailed Noddle to help with my register as I just can't register. (I did notice the Call Credit name on their webiste. Need to look and see if the default is one there. The Santander guy either said Noddle is what they use or Noddle is another source of Credit referencing (maynot...

Thanks 12 months. Just being doing some research. I think the big Banks etc do use what they call a Credit Reference Company (such as Noddle, Check My File), saves them going to 3 separate agencies. So if they are monthly feeds and they take it towards the end of the month then Equifax/LLoyds TSB le...

Hi Lesley, yes I will but not at the moment, just worried about these agencies like Noddle who provide information monthly as there might be a chance that they still have a default recorded which no longer exists. Check My File is another website. I did manage to get a login for that and thjey told ...

Barclaycard were a creditor so i think Barclays are a no no. Either the following has happened: a) although not a creditor Santander know I was in an IVA and have set a flag although they said my status was good...guess it depends whether the IVA info is elsewhere. b) It may be to do with an associa...
