3 years will be half way for me as NRAM insisted on 6 years from the start. So if I have equity extension it will be 7 years. Hope the housing market doesn't boom before I get there! Anyway first month in so at least another 71 to go.

I guess my concern is keeping the house although we don't live in it anymore it is still a step on the property ladder and by the end of my planned IVA i will be 12 years through a 35 yr repayment period. Will be touch and go as to whether I have any equity extension at the end though although my IP...

Thanks for the responses. I was certain it was the best solution I guess I'm just having some last minute jitters brought on by the surprise of the extended period. I have read more notes online to try and re-convince myself that the IVA is better than BR. Its comforting to know there are others her...
