The money has gone somewhere. I intend to find out where. Not only that, but the money was nothing to do with ppi. It was a good will payment from the Halifax and as such I believe I am entitled to it.

I'm not going to let this rest, as far as I'm concerned this is theft in disguise. If I don't get a satisfactory outcome I will be getting the police involved and the financial ombudsman service.

I had a Ppi payment from the Halifax payed to my iva company 4 years after completion. It was only £400. Cleardebt are no longer trading. Where's my £400 pounds gone? Obviously the Halifax paid to someone, but who. Halifax just say to your iva company. How do I know this £400 will be distributed to ...

Many thanks for your comments and help. I got the outcome I required. Link investigated and said "nothing to pay" The Co-operative said the same with a very apologetic letter and a cheque for £100 for the inconvenience. Result! A note to all, don't ever get rid of your iva paperwork and letters. The...

Update: I have written a letter of complaint to the co-op bank with a copy of my completion certificate asking why they have sold a debt that should have been written off. I'm still waiting for a reply Also wrote to Link financial with a similar letter with my CC. They are now investigating. I don't...

My IVA completed in 2013 and have had no problems with getting my credit rating back to normal with the credit reference agencies. Today I received a letter from the co-op bank who stated that the outstanding balance of my account had been sold to a company called Link. The co-op were one of the cre...

Well done Claire, our IVA last payment left the bank 13 months ago and like you we felt like a mill stone had been lifted of our shoulders. This was quickly replaced by our IP investigating PPI. So i'm now just starting our eighth year with still no CC in sight. I personally think their is something...

Hmmm, this change in legislation makes interesting reading. I would love to know what it entailed, or if indeed it's true. Maybe one of the experts can throw some light upon it. I am now starting my EIGHTH year of the IVA with no CC in sight. Of course this is all to do with PPI. Our IP is cleardebt...

None whatsoever, The only thing I keep getting are letters from loan / credit card / banks, about how much they intend to pay back, so far it amounts to over £11K. That would go a long way to helping my daughter out whilst at university. Don't get me started on student finance, it's a law unto itsel...

Just about to start the eighth year of our IVA. Yes you read it right! EIGHTH YEAR.

This is due to cleardebt deciding to claim back our PPI. I hope to god they don't decide to claim back all the card protection stuff too or i'll never have this thing off my back!

Geordie, no progress as yet but I will be e-mailing Mr Mond so he can look into our case further. Don't know if you're in the same position as we are regarding PPI. We were promised £500 of whatever was claimed back. My wife seems to think we would have had a big payout if we'd claimed off our own b...

After completing our IVA last September, yesterday we received a letter to state that clear debt had not even started claiming back our PPI. We have had several letters from clear debt asking for account numbers, old bank account details etc months ago. Called Clear Debt today only to be told by who...

I have two payments left on my IVA, paying over 72 months. I'm also with Cleardebt (previously Synergi partners)I too am a little annoyed about this. I just hope Cleardebt have the foresight to prioritize those who's IVA's should be closed are are coming to a close.

In addition to the above, I'm only looking for an increase in our expenditure allowance, and not a lowering of the IVA amount.
