Thanks Shaun. We have just moved into a rented house which is bigger and hoping to stay here for a couple of years so hopefully things will be better in the next few years and the default will drop off so I have got a better chance of buying in the future.

Thanks Shaun. Will this hinder any chances of me getting a mortgage in the future?

Thanks Kallis. The default wasn't Inc in the IVA cos it was my mortgage so I don't think they would take it off.

Hi received my completion certificate in the post yesterday. So thrilled it has come to an end. Unfortunately whilst I was in the IVA my ex was not paying the full mortgage on our joined house therefore I have got a default note on my credit file. I managed to force him to sell the house and both mo...

Hi Lisa. The letter was dated 11 September 2012. Accepted variation letter. This is what it states. That the term of the arrangement be extended by a period of 12 months in order to maximise the yield to creditors. That the debtor's property be removed as an asset of the arrangement. Hope this makes...

Hi Lisa it was a 5 year Iva originally then the equity release in the 5th year. I split my iva with my ex a few years ago and on the variation report it states the house was taken out as an asset and a years extension applied. I was not in arrears. Thanks.

Hi Lisa when we had the variation meeting the house was in negative equity and therefore it was taken out as an asset. I paid an extra year to enable the creditors to get back as much as they can. I paid my Iva for 6 years. Thanks Tracey.

It does say the house has been excluded as an asset but not sure if they would class it as a windfall. Thanks.

Hi I sold my house recently and my half of the equity was just over £1300. The house was originally included in the Iva but when me and my ex split our interlocking Ivas the house was taken out as an asset. I ended up paying an extra year into the Iva. When the property was going through to sell the...

Thanks Foggy. I have been renting for the last 4 years and never missed a payment. Maybe this is a stupid question but it says it stays on your credit file from your first report. If there has been several do they take it from the first reporting or the most recent one. Thanks.

Hiya does anybody know anything regarding the above? I have paid off my IVA in April but I'm just selling my house owned with my ex. He has lived there for the last 4 years but been behind with the mortgage payments so this has had an effect on my credit file. Completion date for house is next Fri s...

Thanks Foggy. I didn't do the equity release because when I split my interlocking iva with my ex they took the house out as an asset and I just paid an extra year into the iva.

My house is due to be sold next Fri. It looks like there is going to be about £1000 owing to me. I made my last IVA payment in April and waiting for final review and cc to be issued. Think I know the answer to this question but will I have to pay this money over to IVA? Thanks.
