Thanks for the responses guys. I may give it a try applying online at some point and let you know how I get on. It would be lovely to be able to 'forget' about the past at some point and not have to fear that blummin question after years of squeaky clean living!! I guess credit isnt a certainty for ...

Hi all, Has anyone switched bank accounts to an old creditor included in their IVA? My IVA finished early in 2009 and came off my credit files in 2012. Im thinking of switching bank accounts to Lloyds but Lloyds TSB as they were then were included in my IVA...so im wondering if this is possible?.......

I got the keys to my new house 3 days ago [:)] My IVA came off my credit reports 18 months ago and I approached a small local building society direct with a 15% deposit. I was completely honest from the start with them about my IVA and they approved it on their 'normal' rates (a 3 year fix at 3.29% ...

Disappointing to say the least..

Thats brilliant news[:D][:D] Did the offer from Nationwide never materialise..or did you end up going via a broker to get the long offer up to December? So pleased for you..Im hoping to be doing the same in a few months, so posting your experience is invaluable to people like me in a (hopefully) sim...

I sold my house whist in an IVA in order to offer a full and final settlement. Its a rather chicken and egg scenario as you need a firm offer to enable you to know how much you can realistically offer creditors. There were no problems with the sale at all from my side of things, the restriction was ...

Hi Holby I had a similar situation last month while checking my files. I entered an IVA in March 2006 and settled with a full and final in Sept 09. HSBC had put a 'partially settled' marker on my file when the funds were distributed in Jan 10 and I was worried that this meant it would sit there unti...
