I thought i was in a position to offer a f+f offer to payplan few weeks ago, rang them went through it asked what i had left to pay which was £7800 over 4 years but was then told that the total debt was £27,000 not including fees! Talk about getting my hopes up.

Been in similar circumstance myself. Have you got a family member who can look after this money for you until after your iva has finished? Im sure your father wouldn't want his money to you being swallowed up by creditors?

Best bet is to get a family member to hold your money

Same thing kinda happened to me, ordered a new sofa from DFS also and three weeks after the sofa arrived my iva was accepted. Felt guilty as my sofa debt went into the iva, when i went and got the sofa i managed to get them to knock £250 off it. What with the IVA im basically paying a third of it back

Tell them your food allowance has gone up then save it that way.
