I too am in the process of cleaning up my credit files.

You can check all 3 credit reference agencies free and forever. Found some great advice here: https://debtcamel.co.uk/best-way-to-check-credit-score/

Hi, I was self-employed throughout my IVA as well. Firstly, be thankful that an increase in turnover/profit is actually a nice problem to have!!! Your IVA provider should also appreciate that such figures will fluctuate year to year, (I too always used my latest tax returns at annual review time). P...

I was self employed throughout my IVA, and, because your income may now fluctuate, you may find that your reviews are calculated based on your most recent annual accounts. If you have a good accountant, these may be able to be, (legally of course) presented in such a way as to disguise any significa...

I recall going through the same thought process just over 6-Years ago. Always check with your IP for the best advice, but personally, I cancelled any direct debit / standing order to my potential IVA creditors, as soon as I realised the IVA was viable and not least because I did not have the money I...

I too am in the process of tidying my post-IVA credit file, and I understand that it is best to contact the creditor to ensure that they have reported correctly to the 3 credit agencies.

So if you have not already done so, it might be worth contacting CoOp as well.

You might be able to get a card with Vanquis and/or Cash Plus. (Vanquis offered me a card 1-Year into my IVA!!!).

Providing you are sensible and re-pay in full each Month, using a credit card responsibly will, so I understand, assist you in improving your credit rating.

Good luck.

You might be able to keep your car, but just pay the Monthly £26 difference from savings on your other allowances? Speak to your IP to discuss. Good luck.

OK, so I now have looked at my credit report from all 3 agencies, and notice that, in addition to Santander still set to default over all of them, PCO Holdco SARL (brought a Barclaycard debt, whilst it was in the IVA) have their default set at December 2012 – albeit that account is marked as ‘satisf...

Hi All, I started my IVA on 30/7/2012 and settled it IVA early in November 2016. I was under the impression that all my creditor defaults would be marked as 'satisfied', 'settled' etc. or simply disappear after 6-Years from the IVA start date, and by and large this has been the case. However, I chec...

...great link Michael, and spot on: I have just had my offer from 'Just Lending' (Perinta Finance). It is an unsecured loan at 29.4% APR, with a £200 arrangement fee built into your repayments. the total of my remaining 23 IVA repayments would be around £6,400 IF they stay the same. the loan offer i...

Write to each creditor. All letters to creditors should be addressed to "The Data Controller", there is a list of Data Controllers and addresses (Different to Customer Services Address) on the ICO website. I too had CF / 'Just Lending' approach me, as discussed here: http://www.iva.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=79342&whichpage=1 ...They have today re-contacted me, explaining that they can now offer something to IVA homeowners, like me, who have yet to go through the Month 54 malarkey. Update: Been passed to Credit Fix’s approved provider – ‘Just Lending’. When I googled them, this was the top result: http://www.iva.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=75862 So clearly a division of Creditfix, or a very closely affiliated company. Anyway, got a call back from JL, and prepared myself for...

Michael, Thanks for the further clarification - I shall be sure to ask the question about the possibility of shopping around for a cheaper lender. I was thinking along LNE's assumption - ie: that I would have to use 'their' provider. I am almost certain that this offer is just CF's way of making a b...
