An IVA wont take your home off you :) A standard condition is that In the 5th year, you are generally expected to attempt to release any available equity in the property to pay into the property. If this isn't possible (due to not being able to remortgage etc) then your IVA may be extended by anothe...

There have been errors all the way through Til, we are a few years in now, have been through 3 or 4 different case handlers because they keep leaving. This time, I only know that we have a new one because when I rang to speak to our previous one I was told he had left - I'd only spoken to him a coup...

My other half wont tell anyone about our IVA. I, on the other hand, have told several people but a lot of that was to explain why I can't always do things like I used to and how when I say I am skint it is because I really have no money spare!

(I realise that I should probably have informed them about my change of job and drop in wages, but as it wasn't going to affect me making the payments I didn't see it being a problem - I have told him that I don't want my payments lowering, I would rather they carried on at the higher amount so that...

As an update - I spoke to my IVA company today and was told that the reason they needed extra payslips was because 1 - the one I sent wasn't dated and 2 - it showed a significant drop in my income so they needed some others to work out an average. I pointed out that 1 - it is dated, and told him whe...

I queried it - mine is a lot less than £500 but would still be really helpful at this time of year. I have a letter from my bank dated 31st July stating that the payment would be made in 28 days - obviously to the IVA Co, not to me. When I asked the IVA co, I was told that nothing would be sent to m...

Agree with Issey - I returned my review on 14th August (by email so they received the same day) and only got my Supervisor Report back today. They have 60 days from the date of your review to complete it, and they will have requested your I&E well in advance of your review date (mine ask for the I&E...

I have just had back my Supervisors Annual Report. We submitted the review which they received in August. I have rang at least twice in the last couple of months querying when we would hear anything back (this isn't our first year, so I had an idea of how long it normally took for us to hear back) a...

I wondered this as ours is going up from the next payment - fortunately, I get paid between now and then but my wage is almost the same as the increase!

Thank you Tom for your assistance - I have now spoken to my PIA, and also received your email yesterday.

I have been impressed with the response from ClearDebt and am glad we have sorted it :)

Someone on the forum says "They will take whatever you got left over, your life will be miserable. There's no room for change of circumstances and life is not like that. Its almost set up to see you fail. There's no reward for jumping through the hoop, you get a trashed credit rating anyway" I'm sur...

I don't think he totally understands what he is talking about. An IVA is legally binding - the creditors are tied into it, regardless of if they voted in favour (so long as enough creditors vote in favour to give a high enough % ratio, all creditors are bound by it, even if they voted against.) Your...
