Hi, 2 issues: 1. I finished making all the payments successfully on my IVA in November last year 2013. I have not yet received my completion certificate from Grant Thornton. They have had all the documentation and ppi refunds sent to them as I have been claiming it back myself. I wrote asking them t...

I finished my Iva with grant Thornton in October of last year. I am still waiting for my completion cert. which is taking an age to come. I made the pip claims myself and sent all the proceeds to grant Thornton. They have records of all the payments and I have sent them 2 letters showing the payment...

Hi I have had the letter from Grant Thornton regardoing Mass Variation. My iva will be at an end in November2013, I had hoped for the CC soon after, but reading on the forum it looks as if this is unlikely. I have been writing to and claiming PPI from my cards and bank with the full knowledge of Gra...

Hi, I am just coming up to my last year of my IVA. It been quite a struggle but I've managed to keep up the payments, I am self employed so I have to show my accounts and submit a prediction for the next year. My latest set of accounts are right up to date so I have two years worth to show. The 2010...

Grant Thornton are happy for me to deal with the bank and ppi claims myself. I have sent out all my letters and are now getting responses. Which is going well. However, I received a letter from Citi Cards saying they had been contacted by a third party. Citi cards was asking my permission to send in...

Hi I sent off my letters for ppi and bank charge claims and have started to get replies, Barclaycard have written back asking for a £10 admin charge before they send me the information, are they allowed to do this? Does anyone know? I don't want to have to fork out £10 for each card I have written t...

I phoned Grant Thornton yesterday and explained to their helpline person what I was doing he made no comment and just said he would get someone to call me, no one has as yet, I also emailed EIC and asked them not to contact me again as I was going to reclaim the bank charges/ppi myself. Their respon...

Thank you so much for this, I'm going to do what you suggest, however pointless the whole thing seems, at least if I find anything owing to me from that period it will all go into the IVA and not a third party.

Best wishes

I know how you feel, I suppose we have to be seen to be making sure all assets are paid into the IVA. From what I've read ppi claims are considered an asset by my IP. Seem to me though that you are just reclaiming from the people you owe money to anyway. So it just goes around in a big circle. Only ...

Hi Nick, Thanks would be great if you could post the letter on this site, sounds like a good idea to chase the banks myself, even though I think there is nothing to claim, at least then I look as if I'm trying to recoup what assets I can for the IVA and as you say I may discover some thing that they...

I don't want EIC to look into my affairs as I am sure I have not had unfair charges. I had no ppi on my cards and I felt all my bank charges were fair as I never went over my overdraft limit. I have looked back through all my paperwork. I spoke to Grant Thornton who were very unhelpful and suggested...
