All sorted!
It looks like the bank have rejected it due to my mum's bad spelling!!! they have now managed to track it down. It's been paid by card instead!
It would have been nice if we'd been informed by either party but it's done now.

A variation fee of £500 is about average. In my f&f proposal the charge was £500 with an additional charge of £1800 as an early settlement fee. The creditors agreed with a modification that the variation fee was reduced to £300.
Good luck

it wouldn't really work like that because of the iva fees. The bulk of these are paid in the first year then the supervisors fees yearly.

I don't regret it at all, life's too short for regrets! If I'd known then what I know now I'd have done things differently though!
Then again if I'd done things differently I might not be where I am today. We learn from our mistakes and move on, hopefully older and wiser from the experience.

Not that I would but wouldn't they just demand payment if it was cancelled? I wonder if they've lost it!

My mum's not very impressed, every time she goes into the bank they ask her if she wants to transfer it to savings!
I haven't managed to convince her internet banking is ok yet otherwise it would have been a bank transfer instead!
I don't get why they wouldn't bank it right away, doesn't make sense!

It is hard at first, wondering what on earth you've let yourself in for and facing the future without a safety net. Not to mention still dealing with all the feelings of guilt and failure. It does get better though, you'll learn to adjust to a new way of living and those feelings will subside. Anyth...
