Is there a required time between IVA failing and IP issuing Certificate of failure? The IVA has beenfailed for 4 months but have not received certificate.

I spoke to IP a few weeks ago but they seem to want to bend over backwards to keep me paying them in some way, maybe its the £1,300 a year they make out of the IVA. I've been in the IVA for 18 months. I just can't cope with the worry anymore and just want it to stop.

My new partner has an iva and has recently left his wife. It is possible he will today lose his job as well. He thinks his best option is to go bankrupt. Is he right? live on disability banefits and a small civil service pension. Will I be affected?
