Wait for certificate and put the champagne on ice :-) As a northerner it might be a 6 pack of Stella

How long do you have to go? My own certificate took 6 months after the last payment before it landed on my mat.

If you bank with one that you don't owe money too, as per IVA recommendations, then your account balance/payment will be of no interest to your bank anyway. Its about declarations from here, my own annual review tended to be the last 3 monthly payslips from myself, the first 9 were out of site, I on...

If they do offer a refund, there is the type of questions that a legitimate company wouldn't ask, a scam would need a bit more than the account number and expiry date. Genuinely hope its good news, mush admit its rare to hear of an IVA company giving anything back, maybe it does happen? not sure.

The bank will probably remove that overdraft facility at some point as it wont be economically viable for them.

Its not easy, and I can still remember that afternoon when I was walking around Hull city centre with my passport, driving licence and my electric bill, trying to open a new account, but wherever I went, they all acted very standoffish as soon as they heard those magic words - I.V.A ! Eventually I a...

Its the same with opening a new account to start an IVA - its advised that you bank with someone you don't own money too. I went to Santander and the chap was pleasant and helpful, till I said 'IVA' and he then wouldn't even speak any further. I may as well have had a stocking over my face for the r...

Hi Foggy It was all the "you have until midnight on 31st to make your claim" on the telly. I saw Martin Lewis and he said anyone who hadn't made a claim could do so by just 'asking' and that was counted as starting before the deadline. Any queries made in any capacity before the cut off counts and c...

From what I can gather, its best to pull out before the IVA begins than to pull out during it, when the IP's fee's will apply and lost interest will be re-added to the account, its good that you are weighing up your options.
