Melanie, I will do that today and promise to keep you updated with progress. I wholly endorse everything Orange has said about you and would re-iterate my own praise and thanks for your endless and unselfish help to all on this forum. In my line of work - First Aid Training, I know that there are pe...

That I will do. So what you're saying is that I should instruct him to seek a a variation to dispense with the modification clause saying I need to bring into the IVA my share of the equity> Is that correct?

Yes you are completely correct about me accepting that variation. To be honest - had I been asked to sign to cut my heart out for the creditors - I would have done so - I had so little understanding of what was happening. I had no idea what the implications were - I had no idea that I could object - ...

Hi Melanie, Correct, it was a modification by just one of the creditors at the 11th hour. The Supervisor simply accepted the modification and made no effort to negotiate it with the creditor.I have explained previously that My IP has never done anything too assist or advise - he has been rude, arrog...

Melanie, You also made this comment about a year ago to another member. I wonder could you explain it further to me, in light of my circumstance as outlined above ........ " and in an IVA you only have to raise finance to 85% loan to value in any case, so you would be allowed to retain 15% of your p...

Melanie, I am intrigued by your comment to Rosyalin re this subject.... " The fact that you cannot get a mortgage ought to work to your advantage - thus avoiding you entering into further borrowing merely to complete the IVA. " I have today received that long awaited but un-welcomed letter from my s...

Hello again to all on this forum. Since I last contributed I have been keeping my head down and plodding along with the monthly payments. So far so good. Now with just 5 more payments to make, I will have completed that element of the payback. However by the 14th December I must also bring into the ...

Yes of course I should have said that I will have to get two independent valuations to submit to the Supervisor, along with a mortgage redemption figure. The online valuation was just to give me some sort of idea.
Thank you Jan and Julie for your comments.

Hello again all. I've not posted on here for a while now as I have been very busy running my own training business. I am pleased to say that all the hard work is slowly paying off and I am doing ok at the moment - not setting the world on fire but doing ok. Well I've arrived at the fateful 5th year ...

Thank you Melanie, I will get it all out and have a scout through it. As for asking the IP - I wouldnt even ask hin the time of day. From Day 1 he has been surly, difficult, never explained anything, dismissive, disinterested, overbearing, demeaning and just generally horrible. The thing that has he...

Jan - you've encouraged me. The only other possible good thing about the credit crunch and the loss of billions by the Councils to Iceland, is that they may now finally stop filling up our streets with speed bumps.

I'm interested in the concept of negative equity as I'm due to find half of my share of the equity in our home in year 5 - next year. With house prices falling there is every prospect of a very low or even negative equity. So it might follow that I might have nothing to pass accross. But logisticall...

I'm afraid that my bank might see the link between my personal and business matters and decide that I am in fact using a personal account inappropriately. Then they may offer to open a business account which they will refuse on accout of the IVA and adverse creit history which may then in tun cause ...
