*Update* I finally raised a dispute with Equifax on the 11th Jan - which was quite simple to do online. Today I was notified that Tesco have agreed to remove the account information. I checked my account and it has been removed. I did fear that it was going to be another long fight to sort it out, i...

Hi, Thank you all for your replies. I will try and raise a dispute with the credit agencies. This is where Tesco are being awkward because they are saying this latest entry has nothing to do with the account being defaulted in the past, but that all they are doing is acknowledging they have received...

Hello, It has been 7 years (Nov 2006) since I defaulted and entered into an IVA, and 1 year after my certificate of completion was issued. I have had problems with one of my creditors (Tesco Loans) in that they would not acknowledge they had received their final payment and so it took a few months f...

Just tried to sign up to Noddle. Cannot proceed with ID verification because they use card verification and I only have a pre paid Mastercard which they inform me won't work. So maybe that is the answer to the callcredit problem. Makes me wonder how you are supposed to sign up without suitable cards??

Yes I am on the electoral roll. Been at the same address 20+ years. I wouldn't mind so much except they don't give you any advice on what to do even if it was to supply them with ID documents. That is what I've had to do with Equifax.

Hi, Today I tried to apply to see my online Callcredit check, (I opted for Callcredit instead of Noddle because at the moment I would like to keep track of my file on a regular day to day basis). I filled out all the details, gave them my payment details etc. only to be given this message "We are un...

I hear what you are saying but it is still frustrating that I have done everything that was asked of me during the IVA. The IVA has been completed. 6 years have passed. My credit file should be clean. But because of this error I am still being restricted on my financial options.

Thank you all for your input so far. Andy - I've not had any correspondence from Tesco regarding this new default. The first time I knew anything was when I did my daily credit check. Niobe & Skippy - Yep I will start pestering them with letters. Hopefully they will see sense and (fingers crossed) I...

After (only) nine months of waiting I received my certificate of completion (coc) from Grant Thornton (GT) mid November 2012. My IVA had started on 28th November 2006, so I was eagerly watching my credit file and enjoying the sense of relief as my defaults fell off after the six year period. I had a...
