Did you take the loan out within 10 years of your IVA please

thank you Foggy, somebody did say Barclays go back 10 years, just have to keep my fingers crossed.

I had an IVA in march 2012 paid it off early in 2014. I have just been told I am needed to go as a signatory on business bank account with barclays, Barclays was one of my creditors, will this effect me being able to go as signatory as really don't want my employer to know about my IVA

Ours took 14 days from completion, this was 2 years ago. Good luck and congratulations on completing the IVA enjoy your debt free future.

Regarding the employment aspect, your credit file will still show IVA until the 6 years are up and most companies now ask have you ever been insolvent if you are applying in the financial sector. It will not matter that its complete some companies still consider having ever had an IVA you are a risk...

Does anybody know if Nat West credit check to change from current account to rewards account with them, have read on here they close accounts with IVAs and they don't know about ours

Sympathise totally with you as I am in a similar position. Unfortunately when IVA company sell the IVA they infer that once the 6 years is up that is the end and you can start afresh, this is not the case when these questions are asked and unfortunately they are being asked more and more. I can tell you from experience if my IVA had been fully explained (ie. employment implications and still raising its ugly head after CC received and trying to clear up credit files) I would have thought a lot harder about taking it on, that's not to say I would not have, but I think some firms take ...

I opened an account with Nat West for my IVA and had a 500 pound overdraft, we have never had any problems, use the overdraft rarely, and still have 16 months of IVA being on records as completed IVA after 23 months. Does this mean they can close my account at a moments notice too?

We actually received 5K from our IP while we were in the IVA it was from a loan prior to IVA but not one of our creditors. I have no problem with the money going to Barclays as we did an F&F after 20 months.

We are in the process of going through PPI for accounts/loans that had been paid off 6years before we entered into iva but were with Barclays who were one of our creditors in the IVA if there is anything due back does this mean they get to keep the money even though its on old loans
