I have had a letter advising my monthly payment has gone up over £300 and I cannot afford this. Can I negotiate this amount or is there anything I can do?

A independent company checking peoples names and address. Said cheque would be sent in 5-6 weeks. DFD confirmed this.

My wife had IVA for 5 yrs finishing in Sept 2011
Had a phone call this weel saying she is entitles to a VAT refund. Confirmed this with DFD.
Has anyone ever had any money back and if so how much?
She paid in £300 per month.
Just curious. Dont want to get hopes up.[:)]
