Hi! The inheritance will be deemed as a windfall and need to be paid into the iva! The debt you will need to pay is your total debt which was accumulated prior to the iva and not the amount agreed through the arrangement! Also you will be required to pay the fees plus a possibility of statutory inte...

Hi! Have you any equity in your home? Just thinking that you obviously do not have any defaults at present so is there a possibility of remortgaging and paying debts off! Also beware that the iva may be extended to 6 years in order to cover any equity or secured loan/ remortgage may be required!!

Hi! It's very difficult to obtain a mortgage from a high street lender post iva so it's extremely unlikely to be offered one whilst currently in the iva! Don't forget the conveyancing fees etc which the creditors would probably want paying into the iva pot if the funds are available! When calculatin...

Sorry I totally sympathise as we were torn too although the equity would not have been enough to pay off our debts! Living in an iva is very difficult and can take up to a year or 2 to get used to living within such a tight budget! I remember many a dark day when the money had run out and feeding th...

What a shame nobody advised you to do his in the first instance rather than enter into an iva!! You will have incurred fees to your ip which will have to be included in your total debt which is sad when you may not have needed to go down the iva route!! It would also have made obtaining a mortgage i...

I would definitely obtain all statements from the credit card and send them to the company to prove it has not been used! Is there a reason it was not included in your IVA?
