Thank you both. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for nearer to 3months...... Our current mortgage terminates in 13mths and things may get complicated if there is still an IVA on the records by then.

Realistically, .......how soon could/should/would I expect receive my Completion Certificate. I have been with Debt Free Direct, then Aperture, then Jarvis/Debt Movement. Does ...

Re. Beware Barclays Basic Account - a Warning We have a joint Cashminder with Coop who have been very reliable even though their online statements are almost indecipherable. We use this for Direct Debits/Standing orders and 1-off household payments. However, they only have a few branches left I had ...

<t>I will complete a (7-year!) IVA in April, so hope I will get my formal completion in June/July. The 7yr period was because the largest creditor was Amex and they insisted on 6yr, then, as we couldn't remortgage our property (I am 67 and my partner 79) they insisted on an extra year). If I am righ...

Thanks for all your input about my previous question in this thread. I now realise that there could be an added complication after completion of the IVA. We are 5yrs 11mths into our IVA. This runs for a 6yr term which was demanded by Amex (40% of creditors) to agree the IVA. Aperture have been more ...

A slightly different thread but still relates to re-mortgaging. Our situation is as follows: I am currently at 5yrs and 5mths into my 6yr IVA. I am in an IVA with Aperture (unfortunately). I am now coming towards the stage at which there is a need to release potential equity. Property value £450k-£5...

Thanks for the help from you all.

On Saturday 16th I received a letter (apparently) from Aperture (dated 8th March). It appears to be from them but the letter is not on their colour letterhead. It tells me that I urgently need to change the bank account that I pay my monthly IVA payment into. The letter says this must be changed by ...

Hi Foggy, Lisa, One (hopefully) final question about the wording of the letter offering a Full and Final letter mid-IVA. I have done the arithmetic again for the total due to be paid. This assumes there will be a 7th year as we definitely won't be able to re-mortgage at 65 and 76). . I am currently ...
