Very confused on what to do... My IVA started in June 2013, so this in my firth year, my IVA states 'remortgage' as it was before the 2014 IVA protocol. I applied for two online re-mortages and sent the evidence to Aperture, who replied with a letter advising that they had set the 6-year rule and my...

I have looked at my IVA terms, and it states a re-mortgage of £8145 or 12 months extension so does this mean I can't be expected to re-mortage for anything more?
Thanks for your help

If they could find me a re-mortgage, how much would it be for? If I have the 12 month extension I would pay back £8,592. And bear in mind I would have paid back at least £0.94 in the £1 of my debt. My Equity in total is around £55k. So how much would they make me remortgage for?

<t>This forum was a blessing during the early months of my IVA, during the middle of my IVA I just got on with it. Now the end is insight I just want to get over the hurdle with no problems and so I can see me asking lots of questions over the coming months. It’s strange really I am as nervous now a...

Hi, not sure suppose it small incremental pay rise and the extra money we are allowed to earn tax free. I assume they will tell me I need to pay extra. I would have thought it be on the letter though they sent out?

Hi, just received my 4th annual income and expenditure. All is good except my income surplus has gone from £719 to £762 does this mean I am now expected to pay an extra £43 ☹️? It doesn't say in documents my payment is going up. I know it's only £43 but that's a lot when you haven't got much!! Thank...

If it's something you'd like to consider there's never any harm in weighing up your options. Don't forget that once your IVA has been settled there may well be an option to review your arrangements once the IVA disappears from your credit file...this would be what we normally look to do for our cli...

Aperture put me in touch with a company they deal with who offer you a loan, when I spoke to them I was going to be paying the same for the same amount of time (6 years) that the IVA was going to run for. I didn’t see the benefit of proceeding and decided to stay as I was. Like I say I had in my hea...

Hi, Can't believe that I am now into my 5th year of my IVA, I won't say it’s been easy, and my house is in desperate need of a face-lift, but I can almost see the light. I have to admit this year I have found financially harder than any other year while in the IVA, I think that may because I have te...

I wish I had taken control of my debts well before I did, but at the end of the day we have all taken that huge step to confront our debt and try to pay back as much as we can. If like me, you will find the creditors have had quite a bit extra in all the interest they have charged over the years of ...

Hey, try not to worry too much, 4 years ago I was in the same boat. I owed around £36k on credit cards, loans and overdraft, had buried my head in the sand for so long. I was worried the creditors wouldn't agree but they did and 4 years on I am just entering my last year or albeit I probably have to...
