I think it is barmy to say IVA firms use CCC outdated I/E guidelines.My IVA company used their own even though I sent them my CCC's one. And I got more from that than on a CCCS DMP. Creditcard companies are now tightening up on credit. Barclaycard are reducing credit limits on some customers and more are refused CCs. I think very few on this forum is paying less than 40p to the pound with these TIX decrees of min' dividends. HSBS don't take less than 42p? If you have property, there's virtually little written off.

Aguise's figure of 60% written off is pretty good. Mine is around 40%.

If you have a share ownership property, there are sometimes conditions of what you can Remortgage for.

You're lucky to have so little debt and taken advice early too and doing something about it. You don't need no IVA....leave it to CCCS You'll be debt free in no time....

The Default Notices are aways issues in lieu and in persuant to a full debt been asked for. A standard letter but written to frighten people. Why can't they keep it to basic English parlance.

You can release EQ from share ownership, it just that it is not allowed to be used to pay debts off. Maybe that should be in the small print in the sales literature.

People who brought a bargin share accom' may not have have done so if there are restrictions to EQ release.

I don't think any basic Bank account do have a cheque book.I have looked at them all.

I do have 2 chequebooks but that is a historical thing with the accounts opened prior to IVA with Nationwide and Natwest.
