After 3 years when your iva finishes in the normal timescale..9 years in total...things can be back to normal. It really can. It could be at 90% the norm as if you didn't do the iva.It takes time.Case by case diffences apply. HSBC don't do the best deals. They don't have the biggest share of mortgage ...

The business practice of even Building Societies and banks are that they don't want to deal with any Iva related matters unless you own them money.HSBC been the 'worse'. For those of us finished with iva from the past it is a godsend. Beyond the three years finishing the iva we would have escaped fr...

If you are borrowing 95% home loan with a 'recent iva past history' then this will damage your chances. On the record I said this to Mole and Ryan here in the past.I am right. You just have to wait a bit longer as informed. I also guess you are after a help to buy mortgage that is stringent on checks....

You can aways apply but the big question is whether 'a recent iva' will affect your chances of success in a help to buy loan? This question has never been answered by any one here as it is based on You and the bank in question. You ought to speak to the participating help to buy bank and ask them fo...

Credit matching by Experian or Noddle is not an exact science. They say even if you are matched to a CC bank can see still say no.It is an 'educated' guess. Applying to the bank you bank with for the CC after the iva will minimise risk of referrals or rejections as they 'know you'. From my own case. ...

That Iva entry on CF should all go after 6 years and no reference ever to it been there. I would flip if I saw a notice of correction about it.Lenders are very very sensitive to it for right wrong even after finishing it.It is an indelable past. It takes time for it to have 'no affect on you' like a...

There is aways a need for a creditcard to back up your debit card as a double act and a good one, not the creditbuilder card if you can. A good example with the hire car. One month of free credit is useful plus protection on purchases. The CC authorisation can be revoked money not physically taken ou...

Banks with their old tricks of petitioning, nothing changes -they lost the ppi case but did win something from the bankcharges case. So they wouldn't let the iva chappies win on this PPI battles. They want a fight so give them one in the courts of course. A win for the underdog would be a great confi...

One up for the Iva debtors....that is positive with substance to back.
Just like the bankcharge case.If no one did anything we would not have put right a wrong.
Credit to the individual who had the nerve to take this up...wouldn't have been easy.

When I say 'good deposit' in regards to htb mortgage I mean 5% of the cost of the property of what ever the cost up to 600k of the limit. That is factual. What is incorrect about that? I had an illustration drawn up by a house seller in Leeds with the breakdowns so I think I know how it works. With th...

I have a problem Ryan believing that after an iva is cleared from the records, the banks will score someone with a very high credit rating with that debt past known, compared with someone who have not. 95% lending require the best credit rating...to point of saying no previous debt defaults.
