Congratulations. I'm also pleased to say I got email from Aperture stating my IVA was closed about a month ago yet I haven't received the completion certificate. This was after I inquired on the progress of the review. The IVA is also marked as completed on the Insolvency Register.

I guess it also depends on personal circumstances. I didn't forward any overtime over 5 years even though it made up half my salary throughout the time. To be honest without overtime I wouldn't have been able to keep the IVA running. Perhaps that's why they never came back for it after each review. ...

Hi I thought such matters would have been between the IVA company and your creditors so long as you were discharged at the end of the IVA. As for naturalisation, if your name isn't on the insolvency register and you answer truthfully all the questions then you shouldn't have any problems. Best wishes

I find Grant Thornton/Aperture poor at communicating with customers. I stopped calling because I never got satisfactory answers so I've resorted to emails. It takes about 2 weeks to get a response.

Welcome! I'd add that if you can, open both Nationwide Basic and the Coop Cashminder. 5-6 years is a very long time to be with the same bank. Should you be disappointed by one you can switch to the other. It may also be a struggle getting accepted for these basic accounts once the IVA comes active. ...

Hi. Quick question. I've done my final I&E and still awaiting the final report. What else is likely to happen in this period up to the time they issue the CC? I'm with GT/Aperture

That's bad. Like your husband, my wages vary each month and I've had no problems through the IVA. I'm with Aperture and I hope my IP won't present an unpleasant surprise. Last payment left the bank a month ago and I'm awaiting the final review report.

It's a shame I ended up with them yet I didn't choose them at the beginning. Whenever I reach a milestone it appears they throw something that dampens the spirits. Will be watching this closely

It took about four months in my case to receive the cheque after I had forwarded the PPI cheque to them. When I received it it was a fraction of the interest due to me. A third is about right

Lucky you. You're the one person who's been treated fairly with the PPI business and some of these IVA companies should really learn from this.

I'd try any bank except HSBC. I have switched accounts several times whilst in the IVA. I opened new basic accounts with Lloyds, Santander, Halifax. All were my creditors at the beginning of the IVA. Also opened new accounts with the Co-operative bank and Metro Bank but these weren't creditors in my...
