GT and Aperture are basically the same firm rebranded and, from experience, GT would go for blood if they got the scent ! Now ... after such a period it could be that the old records have been deleted or that the creditors could have moved or gone out of business and it depends on if the refund is ...

Hello, It’s been a very long time since I was last here. I completed a F&F IVA back in 2007. I am pleased to say there is life after a IVA. Like most people I get calls from various PPI companies . I have always ignored them knowing how much was written of in my IVA. I have just had another call . W...

A a few of you may remember I did a F&F IVA which started in August 2007 and finished in February 2008. My life as moved on now and it still feels good to be debt free. I received a email from Credit Expert a couple of days ago offering me another free trial as I had not checked my credit file for s...

Whilst I understand they are supposed to send out the statements there surely must be a time scale when these will stop. Otherwise I would still be getting them when I am 65. Strange thing (thankfully) is not many of my creditors send me statements. It just seems to be RBS and Barclays.

Hi, Longtime since my last post. I received today yet another statement from Halifax (RBS). Bearing in mind my IVA was completed two years ago does anyone know how long the Halifax will carry on sending out statements which are a waste of paper and money. I wont say I will ever forget about the IVA ...

Tony Parsons is a good place to start but I would also recommend looking at HSBC. They were one of the few high street banks who would give you a mortgage after your IVA had been completed 1 year. They dont deal with brokers and I would apply in branch as you can show them copies of certificates of ...

Had a letter from my old friends integrity again today. Blah blah blah you may have been mis sold a IVA. So I called them again and asked why they were contacting me when A/ I had asked to be removed from their contact list and B/ where did they get my information from ? They could not tell me why I...

If this report is correct then mortgage lending is going to be even tighter. Its a pity they did not do this a few years ago. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8312900.stm The only problem I can foresee is those who were given mortgages at the lending prime no longer qualifying for any new mortgag...

I like most members did not think much of HSBC before my IVA. I had a account with First Direct which they closed when I told them I was going to do a IVA even though I did not owe them any money. Having said that once my IVA had completed they let me open a new account without any problems even tho...

Try also HSBC. They are one of the few banks who dont use brokers. They will look at a mortgage once a IVA has been completed 1 year. They gave me a new mortgage back in February. Things may have changed since then but its worth a try.

Had a letter today from a debt management company called INTEGRITY. They said that I may have been mis sold my IVA and there were other options. Now I find this very strange as my IVA was completed 18 months ago. I called them and asked where they had got my details from. They said they had got them...
