Just a small point. The information was there for the ones you looked at. It doesn't mean they all include or explain this information. you would need to look at all companies to see before making a comment about mis-selling

i have read so many posts over the past few months about DFD and bad advice. Can someone please tell me why they have not been brought to book on all this and prevented from trading? surely there is some sort of watchdog who can stop them continually giving out this bad advice and leading people to ...

melanie says that holidays/social/birthdays cannot be justified. IVAs are not meant to leave you with no life at all and these three things are a fact of life so should be allowable in an IVA. Many IVAs fail because no allowance was made for these and the debtor just doesn't feel they can do without...

Q3. i believe your wife's income should not be taken into account but that your I&E should reflect the fact that you are only paying a share of the bills for the house and...

I totally agree with Skippy. A discussion forum is exactly that. If you have had a bad experience with IVAs, let people know so people are armed if they ever find themselves in the same boat. Likewise, if you've had good experiences, post those and tell us who the IP was. It's only by getting feedba...

If you do not have assets to protect like a car or house and you do not feel a compulsion to pay back as much as possible then you should not be offered an IVA and encouraged to take one out. I know that at the end of the day you are the one who signs up to it but when you are under pressure to get ...

Melanie, I was told that no matter what you put extra into the IVA the term would still be set at 5 years? So what would be the point of putting the extra in if you don't have to if it doesn't decrease the term of the IVA? Perhaps you can clarify?
