Thanks for the responses, i thought this might be the case. As it is a joint IVA, I have had a look at both and one does seem to state that the arrangement "should not exceed 72 months", which conflict with what they are telling me as they are saying that it is 72 months and 12 months equity release...

Thanks for all the responses. To be honest Melanie, I wasn't fully aware of this term in the proposal at first, it wasn't until I had an updated T&C's that I noticed this, but when I spoke to my IP's customer service last year they informed me that if I have more than 5k equity in my property, I wil...

Hi all, I am looking for some advice. I am in my 54th month of an IVA and need to provide my IP with my house valuation and settlement figures. I have decided to go with a private surveyor (Estate agents were not an option as I am terrible at lying) and he has given me a valuation of 90k. My settlem...

Mercers threatened me with debt collectors too and this was 6 months into my IVA being accepted!
They are quite ruthless and rude but eventually they get the message and give up, trust me.
Keep strong and keep ringing them with any developements, they dont seem to like that!! x

We havent informed them as yet (only just happened) as the sale of the 2 cars paid for the one and it was only £5000 and we are still paying the same for petrol and insurance, if we wouldnt have sold them and bought the one, we would have probably by now been paying double the amount we were allowed...

Would it be possible to call the number on your website for a second opinion?
