Hi all. We completed early with a full and final settlement on 26/02/14. Our credit file is showing the iva as completed, however all our individual creditors haven't reflected the defaults as part satisfied. I was under the impression they would reflect as this. I know they remain on file until 6 y...

Hi Shaun. I was reading a reply you posted regarding obtaining a mortgage post IVA. You'd mentioned that there are options even if a credit file isn't completely clear. We have just completed our IVA early with a full and final settlement. We recieved our completion paper work on Friday. We settled ...

Obviously the increased deposit is because we will fail a Credit check due to our iva still reflecting on our credit file.

Following your advice Michael I've sat down today and worked on some figures to send alongside our offer. After increased council tax, rent of approx £800pm, additional fuel costs to work etc I worked out we would only have a surplus of around £80pm instead if £165pm as we currently do. Also found l...

Thanks Michael. My husband fuel costs to work would increase as would mine as we are both moving further away from places of work. Council tax would be slightly higher I think too. In order for a f&f to be accepted do you have to be in a position where you can no longer afford the repayments? We wan...

Will they really consider that Michael? We haven't been told that by our IP. God this really is like a life sentence hanging over us. Rental will be anywhere between 800-950 pm we've already investigated that one. For a 3 bed house same as we currently have. We're not trying to avoid our debt and we...

Thanks. Our estate agent valuation confirms the marketing price should be £130k and we will achieve £125k. We owe £122k on secured lending andcwithvestate agency fees and legal fees of approx £3k there is nothing left! Based on the valuation we have £3k equity but more than 85% LTV so nothing left f...

£4950 would currently be what's technically left to pay based on what we pay now. We've already had to reduce our payments once due to loss of earnings and another baby. The fact is I actually can't even function at the moment. I'm so stressed and anxious all the time, it's all because we live in a ...

We want to offer a f&f on our Iva. Our inlaws have offered £3k of their own money to settle. We pay £165 with around 30 payments remaining. The reason we want to settle early is to be able to sell our house. The area we live in is in a very bad decline. We've even removed our son from the local pr...

Hi Pixie8 It's a complete nightmare isn't it. I absolutely wish we'd been better informed. But hey ho apparently our future isn't on the agenda when looking at the iva initially. :( We've investigated mortgages. No one out there will lend to anyone with an iva currently. Which is just so rubbish. We...

Can someone please tell me what the process for a f&f coming from a third party is? Had another email today from Stepchange and it's just so vague. We asked what information would be requested from our inlaws (who are offering the money) as we want to make sure they understand what will be asked of ...

I have emailed this morning to the supervisory dept Peer. I am under a lot of stress at the moment and find it easier to communicate that way . What we really want to know is if we can offer a f&f through gifted monies and it's accepted can we put our home on the market? Or are you saying even if a ...

Hi We are with Stepchange in an iva. We are 2 years 5 months into our payments. Our iva was agreed over 60months with the equity clause applied. We know the equity will not be there in year 5. We will have more than 85% LTV at that point. We are in a very difficult position currently we have to move...
