Our Iva finished in feb 2013 and I received my COC today. We ended up reporting GT to the financial ombudsmen as we were sick of lack of communication. I know the advice on here is that they hold no power but it worked,. Within a month we were all sorted. I can only advise people to do the same.

My husbands CoC arrived yesterday from GT I'm hoping mine will arrive today. There are a few things I don't understand and would like advice before I try to contact them. On the receipts and payments section it mentions a client refund, is that money due back to us? On the creditor distribution sect...

Thank you Foggy. Yes I hope so, I would hate anyone else to have to go through all the worry and stress that we have.

I am so pleased to say that our IVA is finally going to be closed tomorrow and our certificate should be with us by the end of the week. I will believe it when it lands on my mat but I have all on email. I do have to say I simply cannot fault Kelly Sands at Grant Thornton, she has emailed daily sinc...

I think the thing to be aware of with vanquis is that they charge you interest from the time of purchase, so there is no interest free terms for the first 2 months. They don't mention this at all when you sign up.They also hound you to take out their payment protection which they say is free when th...

We reported GT to the financial ombudsmen last week and have had a letter from them and received a letter today from GT which is clearly a standard reply. I have to day that by phoning and emailing plus reporting them seems to have provoked a response. We should find out tomorrow if we need to go to...

How strange, the person I spoke to checked and confirmed they could and I have the paperwork with my logged complaint. I hope they get back to you with some help. It's so frustrating when you just want to finish everything esp after such a long time and after all the restrictions.

Hi we are in a similar situation. Last payment in February 2013 and still waiting for our CC . I made a formal complaint to the financial services ombudsmen and within 2 days had an email and a phone call from Grant Thornton. Apparently our case has to go to a variation meeting, quite how it has tak...

Exactly. I cannot express my contempt for GT and strongly advise anyone on this forum NOT to touch them with a barge pole. They are so unhelpful it beggars belief! I have had friends with IVAs who have had tremendous help with annual review and completions and we have had absolute zero from GT, they...

That's my point entirely! When would they have bothered to let me know? What I don't understand is how they (the creditors) could agree a figure in court that I am bound by for 6 years and then they say it's inaccurate?!?!?

Right all, I spoke to GT today to be told that there needs to be a variation meeting as our debt is apparently 10% higher than was declared! I am flabbergasted that this has taken 8 months after final payment to come to light and only as a result of demanding my certificate. What are the implication...
