Ok thanks. The pension is purely voluntary but I will miss out on payments if I don't take it as it s a final salary scheme. So if I was to offer say the outstanding 3 years payments plus an extra 12 months as I live in my own home, would this seem like a sensible offer?

Just as a quick follow on question. If I didn't take any TFC but took an income from the pension while still in the IVA, would the IP count that as additional income and so potentially take more each month to pay the creditors?

Thanks Foggy. I'll work out the balance figure based on the agreed repayment amount and approach them with that figure.

Thanks for the quick response. So basically then I'll end up paying off the full debt by bringing the TFC into the equation. Could I just take a lower TFC and see if that can be accepted as a final payment? Or will they see that I'll also get pension payments and take those as well?

Hi. I've been in an IVA for two years and have a question regarding my final salary pension scheme. I may be able to take the benefits in a years time but will the tax free cash be treated as a windfall or is it outside the IVA? I've checked the agreement but there is no mention of pensions anywhere...
