Different debts may show up on dufferent crefit agencies so I doubt your debt figure is correct. Was your total debt figure not added up prior to setting up the iva?? Paul Yeah it was. I just have an over active mind that always needs to make sure everything is right all the time when it comes to f...

Hi there, I'm currently in the middle of an IVA, with around 18 months left (yay! not long now), and am currently paying £400.00 a month. I've just done a credit check for myself, and as it should be, the current people I am paying off on my IVA are showing as being the only outstanding debts I have...

Hi, I have been in an iva for 2 years now paying 210 a month. So paid around 5,000 so far. I've just been asked to increase that to 400 a month. So another 36 months is another 14,400. My annual report received today states the total agreed claims come to 14,885. And by my workings out, I'll finish ...

Yeah there was no way I could tell 2 years ago that I'd be getting such a large pay increase otherwise I'd have just paid my creditors myself I guess. But as you say, that's hindsight for you. My slight concern is that they're saying if I have any more pay rises to inform them so they can take even ...

I have been receiving some phone messages from SSE (Gas and Electric) still chasing me for my debt to them, 10 months after I set up my IVA. So I rang Harrington Brooks, who provide my IVA, and asked them if SSE were being paid a monthly amount. I was told no, because they are yet to submit proof of...

Judging from this thread, Melanie Giles certainly seems like the way to go. However (as a newbie on here aswell) I'd like to ask the question about my people, Harrington Brooks. Hope nobody's going to say "stay well clear". Bit late now anyway as I'm 2 months in. But have I found a good company in t...

I was in a similar situation recently and what my agreement, and most others I believe, says is that you have to pay 50% of any pay increase which is over and above a 10% increase of your take home pay. So for example, if you earn £1500.00 a month TO TAKE HOME, and you get a pay rise of £200.00 a mo...

Just 1 final update, which is hilarious. Last night, got 2 letters from Natwest. The 1st said, we are freezing your account, please find alternative banking arrangements!! 5 days after they'd frozen it. Thanks. For. That. The 2nd letter said, you have had 3 direct debits marked as unpaid, and 1 bacs...

Absolute classic from Natwest just happened. Had their complaints team on the phone, asking what they could do to resolve my query. Basically she had a script and stuck to it. I tried to tell her my problem of what had happened, and she just said "Well sir, now that Monday's been and gone, and you u...
