Hi all, I today received a letter from DFD which contained my closure report and a sheet of paper titled: "Rule 5.34 The insolvency act NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF VOLUNTARY ARRANGEMENT pursuant to rule 5.34 of the insolvency rules 1986" It goes onto say that I've complied with everything and "I now cea...

Thanks dand and good luck with your last few months.
Doubt very much I'll have to worry about any windfalls or bonuses!!
Thanks to this forum I know that you're still liable until that certificate arrives so will chase up every month or so for an update.

Just got off the phone and my last payment of my five year IVA is done. It left my account yesterday but wanted to confirm it had been received. It's been the hardest five years ever. This wonderful forum has been a great source of comfort even though I haven't posted that often, just reading about ...

Over the last week I have had, yet again, the misfortune to have to deal with equity in finance. It would appear that they were under the impression that I had EIGHT barclaycards when my IVA was accepted.( I had one, for about eight months, the PPI if there was any would be tiny). Some bloke then ra...

Just got off the phone with Equity in Finance, yet again, who claimed I hadn't sent back yet another form. They seemed quite surprised when I told them that Barclays had acknowledged they had received all the ppi paperwork in question. Barclays had previously cut out Equity in Finance and contacted m...

I know it's a minor thing but I once again have a normal bank account thanks to the Co-Op. Even though my IVA finishes February next year they have accepted me for a cashminder account which comes with a Visa debit card. Throughout the whole process the Co-Op have been superb, if only all banks were...

Thanks for all your replies. I am currently in the last year of my IVA. Would prefer the Barclays account as they have more branches locally and is easier for me. They also supply a Visa debit, ( the Co-Op give you a Visa electron). But obviously don't want to complicate my IVA in it's last year, so...

Thanks to you both for replying. Thought it might be a bad idea!! Have had enough of 4 years of Card One banking, just wanted a "normal" account not one that comes with fees galore and a pre paid card that you have to load. Luckily it looks like I've been accepted for a Co Op cashminder, which comes...

Hi all,
Barclays are one of my creditors in my IVA.
How likely are they to let me open their IVA friendly cash card account?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I just don't want the embarrassment of going into the branch and being told no.
