Hello there, not been on for a while-all well here, can't believe we are half way through our third year! We have had the most fantastic news today-our eldest daughter has got into the local grammar school having sailed through her 11+! However, I have just printed off the uniform list and we are lo...

Our three daughters receive their age x 10p. This way it isn't a huge amount for us to find as they are 10, 9 & 7-but also isn't enough for them to go out and buy a comic straight away-teaching them the value of saving up for something they might like. We also buy them occasional treats for good sch...

As a teacher I am ok, but wasn't sure about a Headship. I will check-the extra salary will certainly help us survive the IVA in the longer term.

That's interesting Melanie- we moved our payment from the 1st to the 16th as my pay changed at work, and we are officially in arrears by one month-even though we didn't miss a payment.

Hi Nicky I work with families where one or more of their children has some form of disability, and statistics show that 85% of such families struggle with debt due to the cost implications of caring for a disabled child, numerous medical appointments preventing a parent to work regularly etc. Once y...

Hi Ben and welcome. We have just completed our first year of an IVA (also with Melanie)and I can appreciate where you are coming from on this. We owed nearly £100,000 to 6 creditors, so the decision was touch and go (one creditor held the casting vote) so we had prepared ourselves for bankruptcy. As...

Thanks for all your kind words. Hubby and I watched this man park his car (badly) at 1am this morning, and then stagger to his door. The ludicrous part about it is he frequents a pub 3 minutes walk away! As for the vomit; 7-year old ok, but kindly shared her "bug" with the nine year old! Just the si...

Our drunk neighbour drove into my car, has denied he was anywhere near despite there being several witnesses, and the police are now looking at prosecuting him. In the meantime, I am having to pay £275 excess (glass and repairs)to sort out my car! And on a lighter note, my seven year old has managed...
