Hi, I'm with Think Banking and it's great apart from not being able to do online banking (yet?). Quick question - Barclays and the Co-Op were 2 of my creditors, so when I went BR I obviously didn't want to open an account with them only to have them gobble up my salary!!! But once I'm discharged cou...

Hi all, haven't posted in a while - terrible internet probs (changed providers to try and save some dosh - but have spent what I would have saved on phone calls to try and sort internet probs out! Ho hum!) I have been thinking (dangerous I know!) and this may be a very long post so please bear with ...

Hi, I think my secured loan was taken out in May 2005 so I do have early redemption penalties unfortunately (I'll have to dig the paperwork out to double check). Can I assume the OR won't take these into account?

Hi all, well it's been 3 months since my BR (hasn't time flown!) But I still haven't heard anything back regarding buying the BI back. The OR wrote to me about 2 months ago asking if I was interested and I said yes, I got a written valuation done and sent it all off - but have heard nothing. How lon...

Hi Marcia, I think all of us on the forum can identify with the way you're feeling - it seems like there isn't anyway to turn and you think of nothing else. I won't pretend that BR is easy or is the answer to all your problems - in some ways it's just the beginning - it will affect the rest of your ...

Hi Caraf, just tell your creditors the truth - that you have a problem but you are taking steps to rectify it (if you don't want to do it on the phone - then just write them a brief letter) and you could tell them to direct any correspondence to your IP. Unfortunately they will probably still chase ...

Hi Marcia, just wanted to say that i was in the same boat as you no so long ago. I too was up to my neck in debt and was desparate to enter into an IVA, but realistically I didn't have enough surplus. I tried to juggle my figures to "fit" but the reality was I had left myself a miniscule amount to l...

Hi, as Skippy and Broke have said - put down what you actually spend - and if in doubt up the amount a bit. The OR can only say no! During my OR interview he upped some figures and cut other expenditure.

Hi Mick, hope your bearing up. I feel it's so silly and unfair of the OR's decision to nab your things. And I think their valuations are a little OTT. I''m also feeling a little guilty as i didn't declare anything other than my car during my BR. I've got quite a collection of DVD's but it didn't eve...
