My partner is thinking of taking out an IVA. He is self employed and has cc debts of around £30,000.00. He owns his house outright and it is in his name only. Is there any way of protecting the house by signing the it over to me ? It is our only asset and our only security for the future. Any advic...

Hi there I was wondering what happens if one of my major creditors i.e. Barclays doesn't vote at the creditors meeting ? How does this affect the 75% majority. Thanks

Hi there, I'm in the early stages of my IVA process, I have just sent out letters of authority to my creditors and my IP meeting is next week, all was looking OK until I found out that 2 of my big creditors, HFC Bank, are linked to HSBC ! I was just wondering if any one has had any experience of HFC...

Thanks to everyone who replied it really helps knowing theres other people out there who are going through the same thing. Fingers crossed everything goes OK, I have been told I have every chance of getting an IVA so heres hoping. Sarah

Hi I've just started the IVA process and I've been told by my IP to stop paying my creditors, but what is the best way of dealing with the phone calls ? I'm dreading them, particularly from my bank.
