Indeed Brassic! I'm pretty sure too it's just my husbands IPA but I read the trouble Jane had with her OR making her get benefits and the like and it worried me they'd try and do the same to me. We are a married couple, we share all the incomings you would have thought they would have worked this ou...

Hi there, the I and E was joint on our petition. My husband received the letter for the 60 pounds last week addressed to just him. I have to send some more details to my OR clerk but I cannot think that they would demand money from me I am dependant on my husband and they should know that, the previ...

Hello, I hope everyone is well. Well, after going bankrupt two months ago we have finally sorted the monthly payments to the OR, it will be 60 pounds per month which is fine. However, apparently myself and my husband are being dealt with by separate clerks, is this the norm? The lady dealing with my...

It's shockingly easy, i'm right with you johnz. Have a register by all means but make it private access so that say, my mother, who doesn't know i'm bankrupt can stumble across it and get the shock of her life and dodgy companies cannot plaque everyone with letters.

I had a similar letter too, from 'Integrity' it was addressed to myself and had my maiden name in brackets so they must have got it from the register. It was saying it was not too late to fail the IVA etc but it was too late as we went bankrupt two months ago. I can really do without getting letters...

Happy Birthday to your daughter Angie, she sounds a lovely, sensible girl. You must be so proud. My daughter is too young to understand what has just happened to us but I hope when she is older she will show the same lovely attitude your daughter has to money.

Thanks, i'm torn between History and Psychology with child studies at the moment. It won't be until next september, if at all, i'm just looking at my options at the moment. I'll try and sweet talk my mum :)

Oh don't get me wrong, the last thing I want to do is get into debt again. I class this as a different sort of debt though. And I will borrow off my mum if I have to. I can get a few of maintainence grants which don't need to be paid back as I have a child and i'm an older student so it's just the t...

I don't really but if I want to progress in my life i'll have to. Part of the problem with our debt was me having to stay at home to bring our daughter and with one very low wage coming in it was bound to happen as we were over spending. If and when I start earning over £15,000 it will be £7 a month...

These places just like to put the wind up people. I suspect they are actually gutted that you can pay the whole amount by the end of the month. Just pay it off when you have said you are going to. Angie is right, it would take longer to process all the court information.

After going BR last month, I have been seriously thinking about what to do with my life. My daughter is now at school and i'd really love to go back to University and finish my degree I gave up when I found out I was expecting my daughter. I have read that I can get grants and loans for whilst i'm t...

Hi Fender, sorry to hear you are going through this too. We did check Grantham but they don't 'do' BR's so we had to go to Lincoln. Be warned though there is no actual parking on site but there is a pay and display around the corner (past the court on right) so make sure you have enough change on yo...

Glad that bit is finally over for you Andy, that must have seemed like a lifetime. I don't think any part of bankruptcy is a walk in the park but I think the attitudes of the OR and court staff can help make it a kind of painless experience or a nightmare one. Good luck to you Sue for your interview...
